The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) invites NCRA members to take part in its newly renamed “Purse for a Purpose” raffle — an opportunity to win a stylish designer handbag while supporting programs that strengthen the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions.
Formerly known as Clutch for a Cause, this fundraiser was rebranded this year to broaden the scope of featured handbags and purses while maintaining the same spirit of giving that has made it a signature NCRF raffle. It was created by then-NCRF Chair Early Langley, RMR, in 2021.
Taking place at the July 2026 NCRA Conference & Expo in Bellevue, Wash., this year’s raffle is a chic MZ Wallace crossbody bag valued at approximately $345.
The Medium Crosby Lock Quilted Nylon Crossbody Bag is crafted with glossy diamond-quilted nylon and finished with signature hardware. The bag includes a magnetic flap closure, interior zip compartment, and multiple pockets for organization. Adjustable strap options allow for both shoulder and crossbody wear.
This year’s purse was generously donated by Early Langley, RMR; Tami Keenan, FAPR, RPR, CPE; and NCRF Director Jill Parker Landsman — continuing a tradition of member support that helps make this fundraiser a success year after year.
Raffle ticket pricing:
- $25 for one ticket
- $50 for three tickets
- $100 for six tickets
To purchase tickets, text the keyword 2026purpose to 41444, scan the QR code below, or buy online. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the NCRF booth during the Conference through Saturday afternoon.
The winner will be selected during the NCRA Celebration Party Saturday evening and does not need to be present to win. Please note: Due to tax laws, raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible.
This raffle is a fundraiser for the National Court Reporters Foundation with proceeds supporting NCRF programs including scholarships, grants, and initiatives that benefit students and professionals across the court reporting and captioning communities.
Support NCRF, enjoy the excitement of Purse for a Purpose, and treat yourself to a chance to win a beautifully crafted designer bag — all while giving back to the profession.
