Reminder for those members who are taking part in NCRA’s free five-part Leadership Development Series that kicked off in May: The second session in the series takes place June 2, 7:30-9 p.m. Eastern.
The June session, Your Growth Map: Mapping your path from “stuck” to “flourishing,” will focus on who you are becoming. Discussion will address how we are formed, as well as the difference between nature, nurture, and choice, and habits, mind, and people.
For those who missed the first session last month, Start Where You Are: Creating a vision for your personal leadership, the recording is available free to members in the NCRA Learning Center.
Attendees of this second session in the series will learn more about specific leadership habits, mindsets, and people including mentors, friends, and the importance of being a mentee, as well as learning more about specific leadership identifying strengths such as special gifts, talent, and skills.
The free sessions, which run through August, are being offered via Zoom, and are led by Jesse Walker of Intentional Leader Coaching. Walker is a leadership coach and consultant who helps people unlock their potential.
“I gained so much insight about myself, from the first session especially, that we are all leaders in some capacity,” said NCRA President Cindy Isaascen, RPR. “I am looking forward to our next session with Jesse as he will continue to build upon what we learned last month,” she added.
The objective of the series is to help NCRA members make the move from leadership uncertainty to empowerment by laying the framework of leadership, challenging participants in their individual growth and encouraging members toward deeper engagement with Association work.
“This entire leadership series is a huge benefit to the entire membership as it helps everyone to be a stronger leader and also empowers our future state and national leaders with knowledge and confidence,” Isaacsen noted.
The cost to attend the sessions is free to NCRA members. Each session will also feature breakout rooms for discussion and team-building activities. The full schedule for this five-part series is below. Sessions will run from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
