Ever wonder how one person can shift the culture around them? Be sure to attend the last session in NCRA’s free five-part series on leadership development scheduled for August 25, 7:30-9 p.m. Eastern. This session, “Changing the Room: How one person shifts the culture around them,” will lead attendees through a discussion about mindset, spheres of influence, how leaders define culture, and more.
This marks the last session of the five-part series that launched in May and is being led via Zoom by Jesse Walker of Intentional Leader Coaching. Walker, a leadership coach and consultant who helps people unlock their potential and believes all people deserve to thrive in life and that everyone wins when leaders grow, served as keynote speaker at NCRA’s 2026 Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp.
The series was developed to help NCRA members make the move from leadership uncertainty to empowerment by laying the framework of what is a leader, challenging participants in their individual growth, and encouraging members toward deeper engagement with Association work.
“I am so inspired by the member turnout for this series of leadership trainings. NCRA has always been forward-thinking, and I strongly believe that we will see the rewards of this training in the dedication and commitment that will be shown by future leaders in this profession,” said NCRA Executive Director Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC.
“I encourage everyone who has not yet participated in one or all the sessions to please visit the NCRA Learning Center and make the time to watch each one in order of presentation. I am confident that, even if you do not have the desire to become a leader, you will learn valuable life lessons that will have a great impact on both your personal and professional lives.”
The cost to attend the sessions is free to NCRA members. Each session also features breakout rooms for discussion and team-building activities. Attendees are strongly encouraged to attend all five of the sessions in order for continuity purposes.
