Ask Me Anything about Realtime Court Reporting with Saba McKinley, RPR, CRI

What does it take to produce accurate, readable realtime, and make it an integral part of your court reporting career?

Join the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 8 to 9 p.m. Eastern for an upcoming Ask Me Anything ZoomUp featuring Saba McKinley, RPR, CRI. This interactive session will take a closer look at realtime court reporting, with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and gain practical insight from an experienced professional.

“Realtime is one of the skills that continues to set stenographic reporters apart, and developing that skill is an investment in the quality and versatility of your work,” says NCRF Chair Meredith A. Bonn, RPR, CRR. “NCRF’s Ask Me Anything series gives our members the opportunity to learn directly from professionals like McKinley and ask the questions that can help them grow. We’re excited to offer this conversation and encourage anyone interested in strengthening their realtime skills to join us.”

Whether you’re a student working toward your first realtime job, a new professional looking to strengthen your skills, or an experienced reporter interested in refining your realtime writing, this session will offer an opportunity to learn, connect, and ask the questions that matter.

McKinley emphasizes that successful realtime is about much more than writing quickly.

“Realtime writing isn’t about speed. It’s about deciding that every word you put on that screen matters for accuracy and readability. The reporters who lead this profession aren’t the fastest — they’re the ones who never stopped caring what the transcript looked like. And they make that decision every single day.”

Bring your questions about realtime writing, accuracy, readability, building confidence, and developing the habits that can help you produce high-quality work.

The Ask Me Anything format is designed to give attendees direct access to a knowledgeable professional and practical answers they can put to work.
