It’s not too late to register for NCRA’s Firm Owners Executive Conference

Don’t miss the chance to network with many of the profession’s top firm owners and managers in beautiful Palm Desert, Calif., at NCRA’s Firm Owners Executive Conference, Feb. 8-10 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. On-site registration is available if you missed the deadline for online registration to attend the only NCRA event designed exclusively for owners and managers of court reporting and CART captioning firms.

One of the greatest benefits for attending NCRA’s Firm Owners event is “the tremendous amount of helpful information readily exchanged among firm owners,” said Maria Hughes, owner/president of Campano & Associates Court Reporting Services in Wilton, Conn. “It’s also an opportunity for me to use all of my old friends and hopefully some new ones as a soundboard for whatever new issues I bring with me.”

Conference highlights include an address by keynote speaker Sarah Michel on how networking can increase your net worth, the release of the findings of the sixth annual Firm Owners Economic Benchmark Survey, and the ever-popular Vendor Speed Dating event where attendees can learn about a wide range of new technologies and business tools via a one-minute presentations by vendor representatives.

“The benefit of attending NCRA’s Firm Owners Executive Conference is that I am able to interact directly with other firm owners, giving me hands-on knowledge and control as to who I choose to partner with to cover our national and international cases,” said Ellen Grauer, president and owner of Ellen Grauer Court Reporting, LLC, in New York, N.Y.. “I am also exposed to the latest technology offered in our field by meeting with the exhibitors who participate at the conference.”

Among the number of informative and cutting-edge sessions will include “Getting Video Down to Art,” which will cover how firms can potentially increase profits by offering video service, how to survive an IRS audit, and more. Networking opportunities include a kick-start session that will be led by NCRA President Sarah Nageotte, RDR, CRR, CBC, and the fun and fast Ignite session.

Onsite registration will available, Sun., Feb. 8 from 2-5 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Mon., Feb. 9 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2-3:45 p.m.; and Tues., Feb. 10 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 2-3:45 p.m., and 6-7 p.m.
