Experience the NCRA Booth on the Expo floor

Find out the latest in what your association is doing for you by making sure the NCRA Membership Booth at the 2016 Convention & Expo being held Aug. 4-7 at the Chicago Hilton, Chicago, Ill., is on your list of destinations this year.

Highlights this year include meeting with the keynote and other session presenters to keep the conversation going, raffle drawings, give-a-ways, and the opportunity to try out the newly upgraded online NCRA Sourcebook. The new platform includes a revised search engine and a new look to how listings are displayed.

In addition, visitors to the booth between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, will have the opportunity to have a free web-friendly headshot taken by a professional photographer. Professional high-quality headshots will also be available for purchase. The web-friendly photos will make the perfect headshot for your online Sourcebook listing, your Facebook page, or your company website.

Visitors to the NCRA Membership Booth will also have the opportunity to purchase a select number of store items at a special show discount, including The Deposition Handbook, NCRA’s completely revised guide for court reporters. This new release  offers guidance on everything from preparing for the deposition to working with a legal videographer to a review of ethical and legal guidelines. The Deposition Handbook is a useful reference for all freelancers, with advice on common situations from a diverse group of firm owners and freelancers from across the country. In addition, a robust Resources sections gives you additional ways to find the answers you need on the job. This compact handbook was designed specifically for use as a handy reference guide that can be easily carried to any job.

NCRA’s RPR Study Guide will also be available for purchase. Released last year, the study guide is a comprehensive book that takes each knowledge area of the RPR exam and provides a manageable, straightforward tutorial of what candidates need to learn to be successful on test day. The RPR Study Guide can provide the edge to candidates readying to test for the certification. It  includes individual sections focused on the different topics of the Written Knowledge Test, tips and tricks for speedbuilding and avoiding test anxiety for the Skills Test, and hundreds of practice questions, including pinpointed subject tests and full practice tests that mimic the real thing.
