Get ready for Stenopalooza

Join your colleagues and peers on May 2 for some fun, learning, networking, and CEUs during NCRA’s Stenopalooza, an online, all-day event. NCRA’s Board of Directors has put together a winning event that offers a schedule with a variety of sessions to choose from, all at an affordable price.

“NCRA is pleased to be offering Stenopalooza, the first online learning event designed to bring CEU opportunities at an affordable price to its members. During this time especially, we want to encourage all members to make the commitment to keep their skills sharp and their networks connected. Stenopalooza aims to do just that,” said NCRA Director Cindy L. Isaacsen, RPR, an official court reporter from Shawnee, Kan., and chair of NCRA’s Stenopalooza Task Force.

The cost to attend the full day with eight webinars is $125 for members and offers .85 CEU credits, compared to a regular cost of $460. A half-day registration, which includes four webinars and offers .45 CEU credits, is priced at $70 for members, compared to a regular price of $240, while the member cost for a single webinar that offers .15 CEU credits is $20, compared to $75. For nonmember pricing, visit the Stenopalooza web page.

Registration for Stenopalooza opens Wednesday, April 15. The all-day event starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. In the meantime, the NCRA Stenopalooza Task Force encourages everyone to help kick off the fun by participating in a contest to win a $25 gift card to Starbucks. Take a look at the picture in this article and take a guess at what the letters spell out when unscrambled. Send your guess to schools@ncra.org, and if it is correct, you will be entered into the drawing. But hurry, the window for guessing closes tonight, April 8, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. The winner will be announced in next week’s April 15 issue of the JCR Weekly, which will also have additional information about the Stenopalooza event and registration.

Here’s a sneak peek at just some of what’s on the schedule:

  • Overcoming Fear
  • Marketing through Adversity
  • Educational Summit
  • Captioning Training: Getting Started
  • CLVS: How to Stay Relevant in Today’s Market

The entire event wraps up with a virtual social hour via Zoom from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Remember, registration for NCRA’s Stenopalooza opens April 15, but to be eligible for the contest, guesses must be submitted to schools@ncra.org by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time tonight. To see more about the full schedule, visit the Stenopalooza web page.
