“I Have a Dream” speech steno booklet to go to new Carl Sauceda Grant donors

The next 50 donors of $30 or more to the National Court Reporters Foundation Carl Sauceda Grant fundraiser will receive a special thank-you memento in the mail.

“NCRF is pleased that NCRA Director Margary Rogers, RPR, CRI, is sharing with the Foundation her idea to memorialize in steno the immortal words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in her ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech Steno Project Booklet,” said NCRF Chair Doug Friend, FAPR, RDR, CRR, (Ret.). “All funds raised through Rogers’ MLK booklet giveaway will be utilized in our NCRF grant campaign honoring Carl Sauceda, FAPR, RMR (Ret.), NCRA’s only Black president and my friend. Thank you to all supporters!”

Rogers proudly explains that this booklet is a gift that keeps on giving. “Giving not only makes the receiver happy, but it also brings happiness to the giver,” she said. “Thank you to NCRF for accepting my donation of 50 copies of the Martin Luther King ‘Steno Project’ booklets. This project is the collaboration of 28 stenographers, students, and steno leaders who worked on one paragraph of MLK’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech in steno. I hope my donation encourages others to continue to give to the Carl Sauceda Grant and to NCRF in general.”
