Here are just a few of the exciting events attendees can look forward to:
Keynote speaker Ellen Jovin, grammar guru and author, will share the story of taking her popular pop-up advice stand “Grammar Table” on the road to all 50 states. We also invite you to join us for a special screening of her movie, “Rebel with a Clause,” showing Friday night. Tickets are just $15 for members and include a wine and cheese reception afterwards. Get your tickets now before they sell out.
The best of the best gather again to test their skills at the National Realtime and Speed Contests. Ready to compete? There’s still time to register. Registration for both contests closes July 1 or when the quota of 50 registrants for a contest has been met, whichever comes first. Register here.
And check out these other highlights:
- Our popular Expo Hall is packed with products and services showcased just for your profession. We’ve also got some fun and games lined up – as well as some special treats. See sponsors and exhibitors.
- The NCRA PAC gift basket raffle is back with exciting prizes donated by state associations. You can also preorder one of our limited edition PAC pins. Supplies are short.
- Speaking of raffles …. It wouldn’t be a Conference without the National Court Reporters Foundation’s popular fundraising events. Take your chances with this year’s “Cheers” to Tech and Treats, the Stenograph NexGen writer, and the Purse for a Purpose raffles. Learn more here.
- Saturday night it’s time to set sail on the S.S. NCRA to celebrate our collective journey. Enjoy a night of nautical fun as we toast our members and navigate toward a bright future together.
- And of course we’ve got a full schedule of educational sessions that have been curated to inspire, enlighten, and educate. (Here are just a few of the highlights.)
Book your hotel room by June 19
Take advantage of the special room rate at the host hotel, the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, for Conference attendees. The discounted rate is available until June 19 or when the block is filled, whichever comes first. Some nights are almost fully booked for the NCRA block, and the remaining rooms are going fast!
Need more reasons?
- You can’t beat the commute. The Conference & Expo Hall is just an elevator ride and a hop, skip, and jump from your hotel room. And with the higher costs of gas and Ubers, you will save yourself money, time, and aggravation.
- You can enjoy a complimentary breakfast on Friday and Saturday. When you register in the hotel block, you can slip downstairs to enjoy a complimentary breakfast with colleagues before the Conference day gets started. It’s a great way to meet people in a casual atmosphere.
- You never know who you will run into. When you stay on site, you will see people you know — and people you’ll want to get to know — in the hallways, restaurants, and all around the Conference hotel site.
- You can go back to your room whenever you need something. If you catch a chill and need a sweater or jacket or want to drop off your tchotchkes, you have only to take a break for a few minutes and head up to your room.
