As Chair of the National Congress of State Associations (NCSA), I urge National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) members to vote in favor of the proposed dues adjustment. This decision is critical to sustaining the robust support NCRA provides to state associations and ensuring our profession’s future in a rapidly evolving landscape.
NCRA is our backbone, delivering unparalleled resources to states. It equips us with legislative trend analysis, mobilizes members for advocacy, refines our communications strategies, and drives digital organizing efforts. These tools empower state associations to navigate challenges and protect our profession’s interests effectively.

The court reporting industry is shrinking, and legislative pressures are mounting. Now is the moment to choose: Invest in NCRA’s 126-year legacy of effective leadership, its dedicated staff, and its capacity to amplify our collective voice; or risk a diminished national infrastructure that weakens our ability to adapt and thrive.
A stronger NCRA means a stronger profession. Vote yes on the dues adjustment — our future depends on it.
Voting on the 2026 dues adjustment proposal will begin within two hours of the Annual Business Meeting taking place on July 24 in conjunction with the 2025 NCRA Conference & Expo.
